The pin goes through an intricate process requiring finely ground glass to be mixed into a paste, applied to specific areas of the pin and then fired in a kiln at 1200 degrees Fahrenheit. Each pin is sanded, polished and plated. The lapel pin includes a spur nail and a military clutch back.
